I was told to come to this school by a friend I made in Portugal and I took the chance and came to rishikesh. It’s the best decision I have ever made. The school is absolutely amazing. All the teachers are so humble and they love the subjects they teach. They are knowledgeable, engaging, funny, and so very caring and professional.
The school manager Mukesh Ji is the most organized person in the world despite having so many things to manage, he’s always there for me and helped me with India evisa situation and pulled a miracle out of the bag when I needed to exit the country due to expiring visa. I couldn’t have made it without his help.
The chef cooks healthy meals everyday, even on days that he didn’t have to cook. All the staff are absolutely lovely and genuine people. This place is where my heart will be and I will recommend it to anyone and everyone!
Best yoga teacher training experience!
I took this life-changing course in September 2022. The kind and knowledgeable teachers taught me so much about the yoga postures, breathing techniques, meditation styles, anatomy and so much more.
Equally, the kitchen staff were amazing cooks, very friendly and made us feel like if we were at home. A little home in a beautiful location surrounded by rice fields, hills, and not far away from the Ganges for magical evening strolls.
The school also organizes weekly excursions, which are so much fun!
Would recommend this place 200% if you're looking for a life-changing experience in a magical place with magnificent people.
A friend (who was also my former yoga teacher) recommended me to go to Rishikesh especially because of 2 teachers - Yashpal and Rajesh. They were both teaching at RVYS and oh my god, was my friend right! I could not have chosen better teachers/school than them. All the teachers were super knowledgeable and professional. The course was absolutely beyond my expectations, I learnt a lot, improved a lot, also it had such a good impact not only on my body, but also on my mental state and emotions. I felt so much better and happier after the course.
I loved the location (up on the hill, near the forest, in front of the river with a tiny waterfall), it´s away from the hectic part of the town, which was very nice for my nerves :)
I think the 200 hr course is good for people who want to improve their own practice and do yoga just for themselves, but also for those who are thinking about starting to teach. Still, you will have to practice a lot on your own after the course (obviously), but it gives you a very solid base.
The only thing I was struggling with was the food (breakfast was great, but lunch and dinner tasted the same all the time and I wished there had been a bigger variety :)) However, my classmates liked it, so maybe it was only my problem.
Anyways, the staff was super friendly and very helpful, they helped us to arrange various things even after the course finished. I am very happy and thankful I chose this school. Namaste.
